Innovation Work’s Alphalab, a Pittsburgh Accelerator, continues it’s open coffee series providing a common ground for innovators to meet and greet away from the computer screen. Open Coffee introduces participants to the community at large often resulting in founders meeting each other and developers attaching to new projects. This summer’s open coffee served as a ‘Demo Day light‘ for Jeff Rzeszotarski of DataSquid.

DataSquid leverages real time data visualization technology to revel otherwise hidden insights behind data. The company with strong Carnegie Mellon University ties showcased a working iPad app which caught the attention of most of the attending community. Slicing, shifting, and exploring data with a live demonstration that reminds us of the magic only reserved for wizards.
