Okay, okay. We know. How can a company be a Pittsburgher of the Year? So instead, we’re just going to imagine it’s Daniel Tiger. Also a Pitts-burger is most likely him singing about a vegan Primanti’s sandwich. Let’s go with that.

The Fred Rogers Company has a mission to educate both the heart and mind. It is an obvious choice to highlight when you look at the sheer reach it’s had. The Pittsburgher of the Year was different this year. The audience was a mix of genuine characters from nonprofits to foundations. This event was not the usual suspects, but those behind the scenes. After all, it takes talented artists, computer scientists, and engineers to bring the world of Fred Rogers to life.

These white knights of Pittsburgh are full of optimism to hop on that mythical trolley to bring dreams closer to reality.
