Waking up to the hangover of New Year’s, few people stepped out into the streets for the first Unblurred of the year. That is fine with me. Those who ventured out were good friends seeking to find warmth and bask in the glow of art. Instead of going to smaller holiday pieces, this month’s Unblurred stuck to canvas and using non-traditional space.

Bunker Projects main room was a yarn bomb with shrapnel hanging outside the windows of their building. Mixed media arist Julia Betts crafted the garment that went in and out of the building. Meanwhile at Artisan Tattoo and Gallery, Don Pogady showed her practice at combining traditional techniques with mixed material.
