The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium hosted its annual Summer Safari and raised about $200,000 to benefit the animals there. The setup, which was different than last year’s, highlighted The Islands Exhibit.

The Summer Safari is one of the best introduction to the treasure hidden in Highland Park. VIP housed many of the standard hand held attractions. Guests that ventured out from the food tent’s safety net discovered elephants and super star Louis the Giraffe. Further out, The Islands featured clouded leopards, Galápagos tortoises, and Philippine crocodiles.

Don’t worry if you missed it, ZooBrew: Oktoberfest is on Sept 11th.
