The Wild Orchid Party hosted by the Ladies Hospital Aid Society celebrates its fourth anniversary. The little known fund raises money to give wigs to young women who suffer from hair loss for a variety of sources. Held at the Trapuzzano Chop House the event hopes to raise $30,000 for this charity.
For many women, their hair is core to their identity; When you’re recovering from illness that takes your hair a wig can make all the difference for a young woman’s self esteem and self worth.
Event co-chair Sara Ruth spoke highly of LHAS saying, “Every penny donated is worth it. The Pedal Program restores self esteem year round.” Mark Burnett was also seen at the event who added, “It’s the community that makes this summer soiree.”
