Gallery Four, a small gallery with loud art, hosted Redfishbowl Collective’s showcase of their artists. This showing is of note because it went up against deplorable weather and eleven other events. Yet, it still packed the fancy building with art on walls.
Usually in January, Pittsburgh art galleries showcase pieces that didn’t sell during the holidays. Not this one. This show was fresh.
There is really no common thread between the artwork in the show. I could copy buzzwords from the press release like, “Sci-fi, cartoonist, surrealist, pop, and street art” or I could just tell you the people were cool. Artists you’d want to have a beer with.
